Organisation and Management

Head Office

We pride ourselves on our commitment to autonomy within our operating structure, which is why we choose to have a comparatively small number of personnel at Head Office.

Being a de-centralised organisation allows our talented Head Office management team to focus their energies on developing and implementing well thought out corporate strategy.  The team has responsibility for maintaining the Group financial planning framework, reporting and control.  They also provide a limited range of central financial services including pensions, insurance, treasury and share plans.

The majority of Group initiatives and projects originate at Head Office with the current focus on innovation, people development, environment and health & safety.  However, the individual Group companies have overall responsibility for the implementation of such initiatives.

Operational Management

Grouped into either the Consumer Durables or Specialist Engineering Division, our companies all function as autonomous units who are responsible for generating their own organic growth and also for the acquisitions of complementary technologies and businesses.

We strongly believe in maintaining the entrepreneurial values of our subsidiaries and in giving them the freedom they need to successfully grow their businesses.  Based on this approach Research and Development, Sales and Marketing, Manufacturing, and Human Resources are managed at the subsidiary level.
